چکیده
Thermo-mechanically controlled rolling is a technique used to produce steel strips and plates. One of the steels widely in production heavy plates for application oil gas pipelines API X80. The hot process this family consists applying deformation passes at high temperatures, mainly above Ae3, inside austenite phase field. It has been shown that during deformation, phenomenon dynamic transformation (DT) into ferrite leads lower resistance within stable region. In investigation, torsion simulations an industrial under continuous cooling conditions were monitor formation by DT. Stress–strain flow curves equivalent mean stresses followed sample characterization via optical electron microscopy showed inevitable Ae3. employed 10-pass schedule was divided 5 roughing finishing passes, thereby promoting increased volume fraction decreased critical strain onset DT recrystallization (DRX). A microstructural analysis confirmed from first until last pass. due accumulation, number as temperature approached leading characteristic texture end simulation.

15 صفحه اولsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Role of Delamination and Crystallography on Anisotropy of Charpy toughness in API-X80 steel
The orientation dependence of Charpy toughness has been investigated in API-X80 linepipe steel. The occurrence of delamination and preferential alignment of {100} cleavage planes are found to contribute to the observed anisotropy in Charpy properties. Delamination is also related to the presence of banding in the hot–rolled alloy, and the additional plasticity it entails during the process of f...
متن کاملEffect of Composition on the Recrystallization Behavior of if Steels During Simulated Hot Strip Rolling
Flow curves are generated in muti-pass torsion tests for a titanium stabilized and a niobium stabilized IF steel. Two types of test schedule are used, one based on plate rolling and the other approximating strip rolling. The purpose of the former is to define the three critical temperatures of steel rolling. The strip schedules are varied in order to investigate the influence of increasing the ...
متن کاملRoom temperature texturing of austenite/ferrite steel by electropulsing
The work reports an experimental observation on crystal rotation in a duplex (austenite + ferrite) steel induced by the electropulsing treatment at ambient temperature, while the temperature rising due to ohmic heating in the treatment was negligible. The results demonstrate that electric current pulses are able to dissolve the initial material's texture that has been formed in prior thermomech...
